| Hello,I've read a lot of forums and documents about the description of different sql server versions. But I am still not 100% certain on the following: All I need is to create a small backend that I want to publish on cheap sql server host and then connect my front end to it, Can I do it with SQL Server Express edition? (somewhere I read that it works only with local databases).Sorry if it's obvious for some, but I'm very new to SQL Server and really really want to try it out! Thanks!!! |

| Thanks for your reply. The biggest draw backs that I have noticed were 1GB of storage, use of a single processor and absence some of the tools. Considering that I'm just looking to have a small structure with 10 or so tables I think Express edition has all i need. With the verification that I can publish it with no limitations, I think i'm good to go! Thanks again. |
