Hi,I'm new to SQL but used it 2 years ago.Are there any really good books out there which can help me to improve on my SQL skills? Or maybe even labs. The w3schools site it really good but I would like to actually practice the example in a database to get a more depth understanding? Thanks

You can download SQL 2008 Express from Microsoft's site for free. Best way to practice is to get the real thing.JasonWebmaster at www.sqloptimizationsschool.com

I'd second the suggestion of downloading SQL Express and using that.Virtual labs are available at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/aa570323 - I haven't used these though so I have no idea how good (or bad) they are.
