Hello,I am a PHP developer who is building a site that integrates with Rappatoni, which is a SQL Server based real estate database associated with the National Association of Realtors.I've built a site for the local chapter Realtor Organization - in PHP - and I port into the Rappatoni site to give users access to their database. Also, the server for this chapter's Rappatoni instance in located in their offices, even though the site itself is with an outside hosting serviceWhat I usually do to give users access is use an <iframe> to contain a url.My problem is I'm trying to create a script in PHP that accesses the Rappatoni db to see if the user is currently logged into that system. So I can display a login status in my part of the site.Since I now very little about SQL Server, I haven't figured out a way to do this. If anyone has any advice or suggestions, they're greatly appreciated. Thx LAMP Guy

Yes, I do have the credentials ... in that I work for the organization that licenses that database and the server is in the office.I also have access to the Rappatoni tech support team, but they have not been able to help me with the cross-platform aspect of my issue. To add a little more info, the database that members log into when they enter that part of the site, all the pages and HTML are on this local server and I've been able to change layouts, tables etc. And here is a sample of a url that I put in an iframe. There are query strings that point people to different parts of the db.https://webserver/scripts/mgrqispi.dll?APPNAME=IMS&PRGNAME=IMSMemberLoginCookie&ARGUMENTS=-AASOC&SessionType=MI do have additional documentation for the system, but none of it (nor the Rappatoni tech support people) have a clear idea of how to help me.Basically, I need to make a call to the db that returns the login status of the user.LAMP Guy

You will need to figure out how Rappatoni handles users. It's most common for a system to use one SQL account for the access and the application accounts thereafter. If Rappatoni uses application accounts and doesn't track if a user is logged in, then this information is not available to you. Application accounts are just a row in a users table that is managed by the application. If Rappatoni uses SQL accounts for each user, then you can query sysprocesses/sp_who/sp_who2/DMVs/server-side trace for the information you are after. So it's up to you and hopefully the vendor to figure out how the system is handling users.Tara KizerMicrosoft MVP for Windows Server System - SQL Serverhttp://weblogs.sqlteam.com/tarad/Subscribe to my blog
