Hi All,
I have created the linked server in sql server 2008 using ODBC provider for ORACLE. When i execute a query it throws me an error as below. The query is

OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "TEST" returned message "Unspecified error".
Msg 7305, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Cannot create a statement object using OLE DB provider "MSDASQL" for linked server "TEST".
If possible help me in fixing this issue...
Also See the query here (note: This query works fine on a different linked server which ORACLE provider and not ODBC

Thanks,

Not much to go on but if the query work on another linked server then it's either a problem with the creation of this linked server or the provider doesn't support what you are trying to do.
Does anything work on this linked server?

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
SSIS can be used in a similar way.
