| I ran into this error. this error message as explained on MS website and the BOL is the same. The prolem is, the SQL Agent shows as already having started. But when I try to change any jobs or maintenance plans, it comes up with this error. There is nothing in the SQL logs or Event Viewer.Anybody come across this..???My feeling is the MSDB could have messed up....Anybody awake enough on this Monday morning....is welcome to help |

| Just go to Microsoft's Knowledge Base (http://support.microsoft.com) and then type in the error number. There were only two articles returned, so I sent the one relating to SQL Server. The knowledge base can be tricky to find the articles that relate to your environment, but usually you should be able to find the problem and possibly a solution.Tara |
