| Hi Folks,I wanted to check if someone has any functions or stored procedure that I use to encrypt and decrypt column data in SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005.I want to use stored procedures or functions or even triggers to automate the encryption and decryption process. I am planning to use symmetric encryption With Certificate. Thanks a lot for your time and help. Thanks,Laura |

| You can use these methods in SQL 2005 and higher: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms188061.aspxhttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms178601.aspxThey are not available in SQL Server 2000 though, you'd have to use external tools, or upgrade. |
