| I've got 2008 SBS prem running as the DC and the SQL server. I'd like to move the SQL role off the SBS 2008 Server and onto a Windows 7 Pro computer running 16Gb of RAM to act as the SQL Server.1) can I install the SQL2008 that comes with SBS 2008 Prem on a windows 7 PC?2) how does the licensing work? Do I first have to uninstall SQL from the 2008 SBS server before installing it onto the windows 7 PC ?Thanks! |

| It would also be a violation of your licensing agreement I think.http://blogs.technet.com/b/sbs/archive/2009/03/23/requirements-for-installing-sql-2008-standard-edition-for-small-business.aspx |
