Hi,

Iam running on windows xp professional 64 bit. I wish to install sql server 2005 standard edition 64 bit on it. Is it possible ,if so please guide me through(i have 2 cd's).
If not, please suggest me a 64 bit sql server version that can be installed on windows xp professional 64bit.

You can't install Standard edition on XP or any desktop OS. Standard edition must be installed on a server OS, such as Windows 2008.

You can install Developer edition on XP though.

In that case. can i install standard edition as 32 bit, which was working well and connect it with 64 bit applications?

You can't install Standard edition 32-bit or 64-bit on XP.
