HI, In my Office Environment,full backup scheduled at once a day and transactional log backup scheduled at every 15 minutes per day.yesterday,i saw the error message in error log that transactional log backup failed at 10.15 pm.but the next schedule was executed successfully (at 10.30 pm).i dont have the 15 minutes (10.15 to 10.30) log backup.how can i take the transactional log backup manually at the time interval 10.15 to 10.30 pm.s.venky |

Assuming that the log backup was NEVER created at 10:15 then then 10:30 backup would have included all transactions not already backed up - so everything from 10:00 to 10:15 and also from 10:15 to 10:30You may want to check why 10:15 job did not run though. Its possible that the 10:00 job was still running (e.g. a FULL backup on the database was running, and prevented the 10:00 transaction backup from completing (until after 10:15, and thus the 10:15 job never started).If the 10:15 job did indeed start then you may have a problem that you need to diagnose and fix. |
