Hi,

I'm aware that a database version cannot be downgraded, a client of ours is migrating the server and there is a need to convert the existing database on 2008 R2 to 2008.

I did select 2008 from the scrip version and then tried to restore the database on 2008 but it came up with incompetibility error.

Can you please advise what i have done wrong or if you could kindly mail or post the exact process please.

Many thanks in advance.

Regards,
Mustafa

There's no syntax difference between SQL 2008 and SQL 2008 R2, so a script for R2 should run just fine on SQL 2008 without any special settings.

Without seeing the error there's no way to tell what's wrong.
