if they're not in same domain its difficult as you've enable remote connections etcif they're in same domain give access to users in server machine and map them to predefined role in Report manager (like My reports) and it allow them to deploy reports to folder created by them.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |

Hi Visakh, Thanks for your reply. But let me tell you my exact issue with the steps1. I do have two machines with the IP 192.168.1.75 and 192.168.1.33, sql server is in 192.168.1.75 so I have start there reporting service on that machine,2. I have start to create a reporting service in the 192.168.1.33 and have tried to change the database from the 192.168.1.33 to 192.168.1.75.When I try to configure report server configuration with giving sql details of other machine it prompt with error "The feature: Remote access to report data sources and/or the report server database is not supported in this edition of Reporting Services."I have sql server 2008. and while configuring I am giving sql detail of other pc to run on my local pcMay I missing something or permission related issues? |

thats no possible. you need to setup report server in 192.168.1.33 itself. you can still deploy reports from other machine to this if they're in same domain------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |
