Perhaps very basic but Can Anyone suggest me how to find the Server to be Physical or Virtual in Nature, like from the OS as well as SQL Level.Thanks In Advance. |

This is in fact a hard question to answer! At least to my knowledge...I've often wondered myself and the only answer I've been able to come up with is to look through the services on the server. If I find any VMWare services (especially "VMware Tools Service") I usually conclude with the server being virtual. You can also look in task manager under running processes...in the description column there has a tendency to be something regarding VMWare.
