| hi we have a database with 3 tags id = float timestamp= datetime average = float we recieve from 15 clients about 1000 registers every 5 minutes the clients have 256 Down 128 Up of Bandwith rigth now all that data is inserted in a single table, but at the end of the year we think we will get 2000 registers every 5 minutes right now the database is a little slow but i think is beacause all the registers are in the same table, the clients only use insert command, can anyone help me to make a good database so i can recieve a lot of data with slowing the upload.thanks a lotthe server us SQL 2008clients SQL 2005Server Windows 2008 ServerClients Windows 7 |

| if data is very huge, consider partitioning you table based on month or week and put the partitions on different disk drives. this will give performance boost.
