I have a table with a column called Country. Country has only unique data in it and it has more than 1000 names within the country.

i want to extract all the data for only 400 country names.
Instead of typing them one by one in where clause, is there a way for me to point the where caluse to a file which contains these 400 names and it pull me all data for these 400 only?

Not that I know of. I would think it would be better to populate a view from the file using a job that runs periodically (twice a day perhaps). Then perhaps write some dynamic SQL that builds the where statement for you. It could even be done with a temp table. That would be my approach.
