I have an application I am trying to create that is essentially going to be a flow as shown bellow:

PDF Form ----- > Web Service(.net) ----- > SQL 2008 DB

The form needs to submit data to 3 tables, TimeEntry, ItemEntry, and JDEWorkOrder.

I was thinking I could create a view with the fields from each of these tables to match my fields on my form. Here is where my issues are :)

First TimeEntry image link here. http://imgur.com/WxPcZ and my ItemEntry tables http://imgur.com/VeCt7 both have fields that are required fields, UserID. is there a way I could have it so what ever is entered in my view go to both tables?

Another question I have about the TimeEntry table is my PDF form has multiple columns for time http://imgur.com/o4hny (image of form) But I actually want it to go to same table and field just new rows, not sure where to start there.

Any help would be appreciated! Id even be willing to share my final forms, web service source, and db info if you'd like.

Thanks!

I am starting to make some head way with this. I have a question regarding best practices for getting data in the right place in my DB.

2 of the tables I am writing to require the same field to be filled in (userid) would this be something I should take care of on the end user side with the form, controlled on my web service, or in the DB with an SP?

Any thoughts?
