Hi Folks,
I am getting ready to perform a migration of SQL server 7.0 database to SQL Server 2000. I read the following article:
HOW TO: Resolve Permission Issues When You Move a Database Between Servers That Are Running SQL Server
There is a reference to a file called Mapsids.exe, I couldn't find a place to download it. Has anybody downloaded the file before. Do you folks have any other ideas of resolving permission issues during migration.

Thanks
Ramdas

What kind of permissions problems do you have when you move the databases? If it's just orphaned users, then run chadmat's sp_change_users_login script to fix them (in the script library).

You might want to review these articles on moving from SQL 7 to SQL 2000 as a check against your plan:
