Hi All, I am new to this forum and I'm trying to resolve a remote connectivity issue trying to connect from SQL Server 2008 Express (on a desktop machine) to SQL Server 2005 Express on a laptop. When I attempt to connect to the instance on the laptop machine I seem to get the error message Login failed for user 'ANDREWLAPTOP\Guest'I don't know where it is getting Guest from. On both machines I have already been through SQL Surfance confiruation setup. Please advise.Thank you in advance.Regards,Andrew |

i think you're logging in using guest account. try logging in with admin account and add a new login for user in db. then login to db using that user account------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |
