I've set up an SSIS package to send an excel file to a load of clients. What the clients receive is an email with an excel file attached. One client, who uses webmail and Firefox can't open the attachments. They've sent me screenshots which show the email and the attachment with the .xls extension, and when they click on it the Open File dialog box comes up with the attachment showing as 'unknown_filename'. I've suggested saving it to a desktop but that's no better. The really odd thing is, when we forward them a regular email with the attachment (as opposed to the SSIS automated email), they can open the attachment no problem.Has anyone any ideas how to handle this as its getting right on my nerves now and the client is getting hacked off too.Thanks,Nick.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------http://www.mannyroadend.co.uk A Bury FC supporters website and forum |
