| Hi,At the hotel I work, we use a hotel management software to entry guest informations. Those informations are recorded in the database, MS SQL 2000. The fact is that I have been entrusted with the auditing of datas, however I am not perfect on that database works.I need to inspect current datas by auditing; for example: Old value, new value. Even every change done by mistake should be seen. I found many trigger tutorials on the net but didn't work or I couldn't handle them correctly in my case. I've seen some softwares like ApexSQL or Idera tools, but they are expensive for our budget.We have many tables in the database but all I want is to audit particular databases, but I don't know really how to be done. Tutorials suggest general information without applied sample events.I need a simple (for beginners) statements so that I can adapt it to my case. Thank you so much in advance. | Thank you much Tara for immediate reply. I think Brett's trick seems very useful, but I am not sure how to adapt it to my database. I mean, which variants should be changed? What should I do first?
