I have to load 100's of data files to create seperate tables using the import wizard. Is there any way of automating this task in SQL 2005. Is there a downloadable piece of software that could help with this. Any help would be appreciated

you need to use SSIS for that which will give you flexibility of adding a loop to iterate through files and create the required tables.
You need to use foreachloop container with file enumerator for looping thrugh files as shown below
