| Dear All,I have installed the SQL server 2008 R2 on my local machine. It was working fine we I installed that one. But Suddenly I am not able to connect to the sql and I am getting following error.Can anybody please tell me how to resolve this issue ?Error:===================================Cannot connect to HARISH-PC.===================================A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. | I might be stating the obvious, but start with the basics:1. In services.msc, check if SQL Server is running.2. If this problem is happening when trying to connect from a remote PC, try connecting from the server box itself to eliminate that it is due to issues such as network connectivity, remote connections disabled etc.3. Make sure that the instance name is correct. If you are using SQLExpress, the instance name would be PCNAME\SqlExpress |
