I have an application, with SQL Server Express Database.

I made an instance of SQL Server Express and connected it with a basic report for testing.

On the development server, it works ok.

Then I shared the folder and then ran the application from some other network computer (LAN) It gave error that it could not find the server.

Could you advise what could be the problem.
Also when this application is installed on another computer, how does my dataconnection adjust itself. The current dataconnection is based in the server instance of SQL Server installed on my development computer.
How does my application automatically create new server instance on any of client's computer and connects to it? Like Inflow creates InflowSQL instance wherever it is installed.

If you run the application/report from other computer and try to connect the database which is on the LAN , first check that the connection connect to the database have the proper name , like nzurc008/sqlexpress.Its should not be local.

Please also can you let me know what is the exact error you are getting.

Yes the connection is like that. After lots of workaround, I am able to change the situation a bit. Now it gives password error.
I have set my Instance setting as Windows Authentication. What password to be given to remote computer?
Also, it does not ask for any password. Just returns an error.
