 diffrences of sql Server 2005 and 2000

i want to upgrade my sql server 2000 to 2005 ver, my question are
1) is there in sql server 2005 have 2(two) edition (Developer edition and enterprise edition)?
2) if there's, what kind of edition should i've to installed? because i'm use it just only for storage database and vb as programming language.

There are a few different editions of SQL 2005 - see here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-US/library/ms143761(v=SQL.90).aspx

Developer edition is meant just for development. The license agreement prohibits you from using it in production applications.

for taking that decision consider what all features you want to use and also whats amount of data you're dealing
if its really small and you dont require any other features you can even go with free express edition
