Say I create a table, using:create table test(test char(1)); I then drop the table with:drop table test; I then look at the tables using select * from tab; and this is what appears:quote: TNAME TABTYPE CLUSTERID------------------------------ ------- ----------BIN$umLG0MHe+ADgQGCDZDF/6w==$0 TABLE
The "BIN$umLG0MHe+ADgQGCDZDF/6w==$0" part is where the table test used to be. I don't understand why this segment is left behind after dropping a table. It's not that huge of a problem, but I'm planning on creating and deleting a lot of tables and I don't want all the extra clutter from tables that have been deleted. Is there a way to completely clear it out? |
