| Hi, I have update stats on wednesday, followed by defrag on friday and index rebuilding on sunday every week. Most of the data entry occurs on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (OLTP Db). Does it schedule matter at all? Thanks,Sarat.**To be intoxicated is to feel sophisticated, but not be able to say it.** |

| For the schedule of these types of jobs, I usually just care about what day and time is the application least used. These jobs have a tendency to slow things down considerably, so I schedule them during off-peak hours. The DBREINDEX job grows the transaction log pretty big, so I also take this into consideration for log shipping.Tara |
