Hi,my users have some excel which they are using for some calculations. Based on this excel I have create table matching those data structure in sql 2005 server. The point is that from one excel sheet I would like to export (insert) data to sql table.How to do this, I'm surveying net but not so lucky :) |

| There are a few different ways to do this - for example, see this page: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/321686The simplest perhaps is to use the Import Export Wizard, which you can launch by right clicking on the database name in the object explorer in SSMS and selecting Tasks -> Import Data. |

| if you dont want to automate it, you can even write excel formulas to generate the insert code using excel data onto a new cell. copy and paste to new query window in ssms and execute it------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |
