So far what i've found is that this might mean i need to install the client tools...This is also where i'm stuck, i've got the client tools installed on the machine i'm running ClearTrace.exe from. Also installed SMO seperatly since that didn't ring any bells. Am i overlooking something obvious here? The trace in question is 500mb, but i've tried with a smaller one (few kb's) and i have the same error. There also isn't any error log file written to the directory which from what i've read is something that should also happen.Greetings,F.B. ten KateEDIT: Just tried to install the client components again and all of the components have been installed already. :( |

I'm not sure what to tell you. Unfortunately SMO gives back horrible error messages. Have you tried it on a machine with the full SQL Server installed?=================================================Creating tomorrow's legacy systems today. One crisis at a time. |

Does anyone know if ClearTrace works with SQL 2012? I'm getting this same error on SQL 2012, running directly from the server. Thanks in advance! :) |
