I am fairly new to sql but very comfortable with other languages. I am currently building a website for a client and I and curious if SQL is right for this situation: I have a series of <div>'s that make up a blog container for each entry containing; header, content, footer(read more, etc). I am curious if I can use sql entries to populate the div's.

Any feed back will be much appreciated, Thank you.

You certainly can, but without more detail on what you're specifically trying to do it will be difficult for us to help.

I have "Threads" for a blog like page. Like the site i am building hosts events. I want to be able to put the entries and display it in this fashion...
<!-- ********** Blog Panel ********** -->
<div class="blogWrapper"> <!-- for every entry i need to copy this div and all its contents. -->
<div class="blogContainerTop"></div> <!-- This is an bg image for of the top of the panel. -->
<div class="blogContainerMid"> <!-- This has a bg repeat-y and the body of the content goes here -->
<div class="blogPanelHeader"><b>this will be a field from the database</b></div>
<div class="blogPanelContent">
This is where one of the fields from the sql data base will go
<div class="blogPanelFooter"><a href="blog.aspx">Read More...</a></div>
</div>
</div>
<div class="blogContainerBottom"></div>
</div> <!--Copy all contents to this closing tag-->

Okay I gave the best description I could lol. I'm not sure if sql will do this but if you could point me in the right direction that would be appreciated, but for every entry copy the div blogWrapper and fill its contents in div blogPanelHeader, div blogPanelHeader, and div blogPanelFooter(i would need to hyperlink the contents in blogPanelFooter as you can see in the code).

I hope this is enough information. Thanks in advance for any help! Very appreciated!

Assuming you're using ASP or ASP.Net, here are some tutorials on interacting with databases:

http://www.w3schools.com/ado/default.asp
http://www.w3schools.com/asp/default.asp
http://www.w3schools.com/aspnet/default.asp
http://www.w3schools.com/aspnet/webpages_database.asp

If you're using PHP or some other language, there are similar tutorials on the same site and elsewhere.

IIRC Wordpress only supports MySQL.
