| We have several linked servers set up, what permissions do I need to give to one of our users to be able to browse/view the tables on one of the linked servers? |

| Hi first on remote server : A1- create a login - username and get access that you want : to some tables and view ,... . in your server :B1- create Linkserver ... B2- in security tab : insert that your loginName (username in your server)B3- dont tick impersonateB4- insert remote username and password from A1 as remoteuser remote passwordB5- in last choose (be made using this security ...)insert username and password from A1 again. be successfull |
