I apology if a similar question might lurk in many forums with many work arounds but i'm having a hard time to understand whats wrong.Running Win Server 08 with SQL express 08. When the client connect to the domain controller and tries to connect to the SQL, i receive an ODBC connection error. I do know the problem is coming from the windows server firewall because when i turn off the 'domain firewall', the error disappears and connection is established correctly.Researching i found this link and followed instructions http://support.microsoft.com/kb/968872. Problem still remains however: when firewall is off, connection works, and when domain firewall is on... connection failure.Any help please? |
