Easiest way is to create the job using the gui.
Right click on the agent, jobs and new job.
Add a job, job step and schedule.
Everything there is pretty simple
Be careful about hours and minutes - I have a habit of running a job at minute past midnight rather than hours.

You can then script this (save in source control) and alter the script for future jobs.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
SSIS can be used in a similar way.
