Hello.

Is it possible to upgrade an 2008 SQL Instance (10.00.1600) to 2008 R2 (10.50.1600)? I do not want any additional instances, just upgrade the default. Do I just need to obtain the media kit from MSDN?

Thanks.

Once you have the media, select the upgrade option in setup.exe or whatever. We did just that today, and it took just 10 minutes. It just upgrades SQL Server and doesn't touch your databases.
