| Well do you have SQLMail configured yet? That's the first step. The second step is to setup an alert. You need to figure out which error that you want to alert on. Severities 019-025 are probably what you want to alert on, but that part is up to you. Once you figure that part out, you need to configure the alert so that it send the e-mail to you.What we do here is we've got a monitoring web page that monitors various aspects of our environment. We have operators who watch the monitors and notify us of errors. It's important to have an outside process monitor as well because if your server goes down, you won't get e-mailed about it because the server can't e-mail you when it is down.Tara |
