Hi All,I would like to know, how would I give a server name for the SQL server whilst installation.So that when I could connect from the SQL client, I dont hit the IPaddress, instead I could go hit the servername and goThanks,AB |

It automatically takes the name of the machine.You can also map a name on the client (to the ip address) if you want something else.==========================================Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.SSIS can be used in a similar way.Beer is not cold and it isn't fizzy. |
