Hi All,

I would like to know, how would I give a server name for the SQL server whilst installation.

So that when I could connect from the SQL client, I dont hit the IPaddress, instead I could go hit the servername and go

Thanks,

AB

It automatically takes the name of the machine.
You can also map a name on the client (to the ip address) if you want something else.

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
SSIS can be used in a similar way.
