Hi,

I want to know a good site to download SQL Server 2005/2008. You could also help with a couple of sites if there is no one
most preferred site to download SQL Server 2005/2008.

Request you to please help me with the answer.

The only site you should download SQL Server is from Microsoft. I don't know if there are any other sites and even if there are there isn't any reason to go there.

Expression edition is free to download and use. Evaluation versions of other editions can be downloaded.

Unless your company is currently using SQL 2008, you may want to download SQL 2012 rather than SQL 2008 or SQL 2005.

Thanks sunitabeck, for the answer. But the link is not giving one link which can help download but it seems to be giving a series of steps to follow for the download process.

You would find the right links if you google for SQL 2012 download or SQL 2012 express download. The link for downloading SQL 2012 Express: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=29062

you have to register to evaluate. It's not a hard thing to do. Just follow the instructions.

You can get the developer edition for very very cheap which gives you enterprise functionality as long as you're not hosting a commercial app. If you're a student in IT you can get it for free through the Dreamspark program.
