| The only site you should download SQL Server is from Microsoft. I don't know if there are any other sites and even if there are there isn't any reason to go there.Expression edition is free to download and use. Evaluation versions of other editions can be downloaded.http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/sqlserver/bb671149.aspxUnless your company is currently using SQL 2008, you may want to download SQL 2012 rather than SQL 2008 or SQL 2005. |

| You can get the developer edition for very very cheap which gives you enterprise functionality as long as you're not hosting a commercial app. If you're a student in IT you can get it for free through the Dreamspark program. |
