| Hi Guys, I need your help. I have a store procedure and its taking to long to execute that package. Our user are complainingabout to slow to retrieve that data. | If you google for how to optimize queries, you will find lot of resources that describe the best practices, what to look for etc. For example, this: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa964133(v=sql.90).aspx. That article might look a little dense, but if you scroll down to the "Optimization Rules of Thumb" section, it has some very simple and useful guidelines. That is just one, there are tons of other resources.If you needs specific advice on your query, please post your query - there are experts on this forum who can take one look and suggest things that would improve the performance. They may ask for more information, but start by posting your query. |
