| Hi,I'm wondering if it is possible to make a computed column a fixed one?Having a computed column even inserting it ( the data) into another table doesn't seem to make that column fixed on the new table.Does the computed column keep its definition when a new table is created and values are inserted from source table?Thx,Dobby |

HiI don't suppose you tried any of this stuff youself ? Best way to learn. You can not alter a computed column. Your best bet might either to make a duplicate table :Select *Into NewTableFrom OldTableWhich will only copy values. Or you could add a column to your table, copy the values into it, then drop your computed one. Then recreate a column with the same name, update it with the values and drop your holding one.Damian |
