| Hi I need urgent help.When I attach a DB (SQL 2005) on my machine it gives error message that the DB version is 661 and my machine supports version 612.Can any one please give me link to upgrade my SQL 2005 version to 661Thank you. |

| 661 is SQL Server 2008 R2. Upgrading from SQL 2005 to SQL 2008 R2 is not a simple service pack or patch - it involves lot more planning, money and resources.This link gives you information about the various internal version numbers: http://weblogs.sqlteam.com/dang/archive/2011/07/17/internal-sql-server-database-version-numbers.aspxThis link takes you to the download site for Microsoft. | 661 is SQL 2008 (not R2).You can't attach a higher version (SQL 2008) to a lower one (SQL 2005) |
