Hi,

We have one instance abc\instance1 that is using port 1432. We created a new server and installed sql. Now it is xys\instance1. So server name is different but instnace name is same. My question is can we use the same port (1432) for this new server (instance)? These two servers (instances) are in the same domain.

Thanks

Yes you can. Ports only matter on the server, not across servers.
