In 2008 R2, trying to create a Trigger - I have it coded out and go to Save - it wants to save as a Stored Procedure. Didn't there use to be a way under File/Save AS to connect to the Table? In 2008, how do you connect to the table?

Went to the Table/Triggers right clicked Create Trigger - coded the Trigger and wanted to save. It saves as a Stored Procedure and does NOT come up under the Table/Triggers. I need to associate the trigger to that table.

The code with the Trigger does not show under the Table/Triggers area - it is stored in Projects. I need it to be tied to that table. There are a million different examples on how to create a trigger but none on how to associate the trigger with a particular table in the Management Studio.

Did you execute it? You have to execdute the CREATE TRIGGER code for the trigger to actually get created (And show up under Table->Triggers-Chad

once you execute the trigger code you'll be able to see the trigger within associated tables in object explorer. you may need to refresh it once to reflect latest trigger info though!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------SQL Server MVPhttp://visakhm.blogspot.com/ |
