| Hello,i have an SQL Server 2008 R2 Instance. The backup is done by HP Data Protector with integration to SQL.Now we want an additional backup to disk with Maint. Plan.Is this an Problem with LSNs and the Transaction Log backup ?The integration Backup is once a day Full and hourly Transaction Log.When we backup now additionally with an Maint. Plan, is there a problem with the LSNs ?Kind RegardsAndi |

| The only problems will be with differential backups. To avoid issues with differentials you want to use the COPY_ONLY parameter on the maintenance plan backups. There are no issues with transaction log backups. |
