| Hi,I am working on sql server 2008. In agent properties, i want to set to remove history after 2 days. I can select remove agent history and can select 2 days. Once I click ok. window closed. When I open agent properties again, my setting are not saved and remov agent history box is unchecked. How to save my setting?Thanks |

| I have seen this too, but I am not sure what causes it.You can remove the history in a maintenance plan "History Cleanup Task".I usually have a maintenance plan to do a full backup of the system databases every day, and I just add the History Cleanup Task to that.Or you could setup a maintenance plan just to do the History Cleanup Task.Edit:This has been reported on Microsoft Connect. http://connect.microsoft.com/SQLServer/feedback/details/485232/kjtap-sap-sql-server-agent-remove-agent-history-cannot-be-activated"...Instead of being a config item that you can save, as one would expect, this is actually a real-time cleanup option..."CODO ERGO SUM |
