| Hi allWe're running SQL server 2008 R2 and I'd like to set up a sort of standard database list.When I click on connect to database engine I get a list of the one's I've connected to in the past.Is there any way of exporting these (possibly a registry entry?) so I can import the entire list for new users (who'll need the same list)?Thanks for any help you can give. |

| Sorry, it was database servers.I've had a look at the Powershell script and tried to navigate to the key in the registry manually but it doesn't seem to exist.We're running a variety of O/Ss (XP and 7) so I don't know if that will cause an issue.All I really want to do is be able to export some sort of reg key (I already do this for a standard set of ODBC connections) so that all the relevant server instances are in the list when people log on. |

| I don't know for sure but I think this is a part of windows and not sql server, just like autocomplete on a webpage. | I don't know whether it's possible to export these lists from user to user. Basically, the list is stored on the rmu.dat file for 2005 or sqlstudio.bin for 2008. | Hi allThanks for the suggestons so far, but I must have a really strange setup because the registry key doesn't exist and the .dat and .bin files don't exist on my machine either.Is there anything else I can check? |
