Does any one know how to tell what license SQL 2000 is running? If it is setup for 5 users or 10 users or a processor license. Is there a way to look at that information thru Enterprise Manager or some how else and figure out which one it is?

OK so now you can all tell that I'm chasing up licencing...even so desperate as to look through these old threads.

Anyone fill me in on
Select SERVERPROPERTY('lincensetype')

just returns NULL to me....

Probably because it was spelled incorrectly (lincensetype):

ServerProperty('LicenseType')

Ok, it seems my production clustered server is setup for 2 licenses in Per Seat Mode. After doing some reading, it seems the only way to change this is to reinstall.

What are the implications of this license setup. Could this be causing "Timeout connecting to SQL Server" issues? I think it is.
Is it also possible that how you have licensing setup has no bearing on the performance and number of connections SQL server will allow?
