Hi,Client is installing Crystal Reports on his computer. He needs access to one of database on SQL Server 2008. What is required to establish connection from crystal reports odbc connection to sql server? Any steps? or what permission should I grant to his windows account so that his odbc connection should be able to read data from sql server database? I granted server level - public and on databse level data reader permission. I just want to make sure his odbc connection from crystal reports to sql server should be successful. Thanks |

Same as any other ODBC connection; host, username and password is required. Make sure Client IP address is white listed at server end. |
