Hi,I'm doing my first ever SQL Server install(2008 Version).I have got to the 'Setup Support Rules' part of the install and have got a warning for the Firewall. The warning says the firewall is enabled and I must make sure the appropriate ports are open to allow remote access. There is a link to a site which I think details what ports are to be opened.I'm not experienced with working with ports but I think I could get the job done if need be. I did however check another SQL Server we have and found that the firewall is disabled on it. Should I just disable the firewall on this new server too or look at opening ports? If I need to open ports does anybody have info/advice on what to open and how?CheersPaul |
