everything is so simple. Every file is whisked into a new table to editOccasionally, one problem is never solved. SQL Server likes something or it doesn't. No optionsI have a delivery order in Mail XML. columns are quantity, product, price, totalCan save as text (.txt) no CSV option, raw source, or .rtf on a Mac. Neither is accepted by database - task - import data... or SSIS connection manager. Same story. Excel .xls can be saved on a Mac and the file is seen on shared network. flat file or .xls doesn't work. One step did serve well for years. Now Excel is not on the PC. It could read the Mac file, save it as a clean native .xls and be lapped up by import with one click. No trouble |
