First Thank You for your help. The scenario the company is upgrading to SQL Server 2008 from SQL Server 2005. I need to replicate (copy) databases, link servers, roles, permissions, etc from sql server 2005 to the new version. Can anyone tell me the easiest, more simple, safe and secure way to do this. If is possible I would like to copy everything at once.Thank You.... |

Agree with visakh16..But I want to give one more suggestion is that first you should download and run the Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Upgrade Advisor. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Upgrade Advisor analyzes instances of SQL Server 2005 to help you prepare for upgrades to SQL Server 2008. |
