| Hi experts,When I wanted to install the SQL server 2008 R2 management studio, I encountered the following error:TITLE: SQL Server Setup failure.------------------------------SQL Server Setup has encountered the following error:The type initializer for 'System.Xml.Schema.XmlUntypedConverter' threw an exception.Error code 0x84B10001.------------------------------Previously I installed the SQL server 2008, but after several times I couldn't connect to the DB in my school, I decided to uninstall the SQL server 2008. However, the program also encountered this error. So I manually deleted the directory and the registry keys. And now I want to install the SQL server 2008 R2, but the problem still remains. Can anyone help me? Thanks so much. |

| tkizer, thanks so much for your help, it seems like I shouldn't have deleted them manually. I think I have to reinstall the OS right now to fix the problem.Life is great! |
