On a dev/test Windows 2008r2 Server running SQL 2008r2 I compressed the datafile folder to free up some space. As the largest SQL database came up with recovery pending I backed-out and uncompressed the folder, but the mdf and ndf files within won't uncompress ("The requested operation could not be completed due to a file system limitation").As I say its dev/test so I've already disabled sql-services and rebooted a few times. The MDF is 1.3TB and the NDF is 200GB. The other NDF (17GB) uncompressed fine. Oh and the c-drive (the only drive) has 83GB free.advice pleaseRichardthanksrichard102 |
